Titirangi War Memorial Hall – specialised heritage electrical work

If you've been through Titirangi lately, you'll have noticed work going on at The Titirangi War Memorial Hall and Library. It’s undergoing a major $4.4 million refurbishment on behalf of Auckland Council, and the scope includes seismic strengthening, weatherproofing, exterior reclad, and stormwater upgrades, with completion due in 2026.

Heritage building electrical work is its own discipline - older infrastructure, tight tolerances, and the need to balance electrical compliance with conservation requirements at every turn. It's territory we know well.

Liston College New Gymnasium – tight deadlines and strict timelines

Also, with Cassidy Construction, we're handling the electrical fit-out for the new gymnasium at Liston College in Henderson, commissioned by the Catholic Diocese of Auckland. It's a purpose-designed facility: a double-court sports floor, teaching spaces, a weights room, changing rooms, storage, and an administration block. Ground conditions added early complexity:68 piles, ranging from nine to fourteen metres in depth, but the site is well underway, with completion scheduled for September 2026.

School builds run to a strict programme. There’s no flexibility on handover when a school year is built around it, which means every trade has to hit its milestones without exception. Code-compliant commercial wiring, on time, every time.

6 Maidstone Street, Grey Lynn – commercial and residential together

A short walk from Ponsonby Road, this mixed-use conversion involves a two-level property (see featured image): a high-stud warehouse at ground level with a residential apartment above, being refurbished under its Business Mixed Use zoning with Savory Construction leading the build.

The electrical fit-out spans both commercial and residential requirements at once: separate circuits, independent metering, different compliance standards applied to the same building. It's exactly the kind of work that benefits from a commercial electrician in Auckland equally comfortable on both sides of that line.
